We all know that as we age our bodies undergo physiological changes, which impact our strength, mobility, speed and stability. More often than not, these changes are for the worst. It is now widely recognized that physical activity and exercise can slow down and prevent the negative effects of ageing.
At Health in Balance we offer specialized group programs facilitated by Accredited Exercise Physiologists to maintain and improve your physical function for everyday living, all in a friendly and sociable environment.
Each of our group programs have a maximum of 4 clients, ensuring your safety and effectiveness of the exercise at all times.
Falls Prevention & Strength Training
Falls are a great burden not only the economy (national annual cost of over $2.4 billion), but also the lives of Australians aged over 65, where one in every 3 will fall at least once per year. Additionally we all know the importance of muscular strength and the necessity of it in our daily lives. Be it playing competitive sports, picking up your grocery bags, or even drinking a glass of water. Muscular strength and endurance helps us live with quality.
Our ‘STRONGER FOR LONGER’ group based program will help you feel stronger, fitter & balanced on your feet. Your individually tailored exercise program may involve a combination of aerobic, strength training and balance training exercises depending on your personal health goals. This group is designed for adults above 50 years of age. The expert Exercise Physiologists at Health in Balance will ensure you get the most out of your strength and/or balance training, being specific to your needs and in a social environment. So come along with your friends or make new ones, without costing you an arm and a leg!
